The World Bank, in its effort to support , started together with the Government of Moldova a project on Avian Influenza Control and Human Pandemic Preparedness and Response. The overall objective of the Project is to minimize the threat posed to humans by HPAI. To achieve this, the Project will support surveillance for outbreaks of such diseases, preparation for outbreaks, and control of outbreaks among humans and animals.
General objective of this assignment is to provide logistic support for organizing epidemiology staff training (15 people) and regional specialists training.
This assignment is divided into three periods:
- two weeks in August 2010 – to organize coffee breaks (once a day), lunches, dinners, accommodation for 10 days in Chisinau and reimbursement of transport expenses for 8 people.
- two weeks in September 2010 – to organize coffee breaks (twice a day), lunches, logistics, English-Romanian translation for 15 people, 10 days in Chisinau.
- two weeks in October-November 2010 – to organize coffee breaks (once a day), lunches, logistics, English-Romanian translation for 8 people, 10 days, and dinner and accommodation (for 2 people), one week in Drochia and one week in Cahul.
The selected company will be responsible for:
- Participants’ accommodation;
- Meals;
- Transportation;
- Logistics;
- Translation.
The company will be selected basing on its qualifications for assignment to be implemented:
- Relevant experience in carrying out seminars and workshops;
- Experience in logistical preparations for trainings and seminars;
- Good organizational, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills for key staff;
- Good communication and facilitation skills for key staff.
A company will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004).

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Objective:
Financial management and disbursement procedures, administration of funds, and financial reporting for CAPMU
Minimum Requirements:
· University degree in accounting, finance, economics or public administration. Professional accounting qualifications and/or PhD would be an advantage
· At least two years work experience in the area of accounting/financial management
· Good verbal and written knowledge of Romanian, English and Russian
· Understanding of financial management and accounting practices
· Minimum of four years of relevant practical work experience in the Government of Moldova, international projects, or private sector entities
