The farmers implementing sustainable land management practices and those who plan to apply such practices will be able to strengthen their self-assessment skills aimed at identifying the economic, environmental and social impacts of conservative agriculture. In this respect, an extensive Monitoring and Evaluation of the benefits of Sustainable Land Management Practices applied in different areas of the country was conducted under the “Improving Land Productivity through Sustainable Land Management (SLM)” component of Moldova Agricultural Competitiveness Project (MAC-P) during the period 2014-2018.
As a result of this M&E, a group of experts from the National Rural Development Agency (ACSA) contracted by MAC-P developed the “Guide to Self-Assessment in Implementation of Sustainable Land Management Practices”, launched at the conference held on 5 December 2018 with participation of representatives from the Consolidated Agricultural Competitiveness Project (CAPMU), the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), the National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA) and agricultural producers from different regions of the country. The guide has been published in 500 copies and will be distributed to farmers and other stakeholders.
