Contract Title: Procurement of Laboratory equipment for Regional Laboratories in Balti and Cahul
Reference No. (as per Procurement Plan): MACP/AF/G/ICB-1.3
- The Republic of Moldova has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Moldova Agricultural Competitiveness Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract(s) for Laboratory equipment for Regional Laboratories in Balti and Cahul.
- The Consolidated Agricultural Projects’ Management Unit now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Laboratory equipment for Regional Laboratory in Balti and Cahul in 9 Lots as follows:
– Lot 1: Analytical balances; technical balances; pipettes; pipettes stand; PH meters; automatic pipettors;
– Lot 2: Freezers; refrigerators; drying ovens; ovens; autoclaves; incubators; laboratory thermostats;
– Lot 3: Laboratory centrifuge; laboratory dish washer; ultrapure water system preparation; ultrasonic water bath; vortex;
– Lot 4: Microscopes; thermometer; digital cameras and timers; laboratory sieves; psychometric hygrometer; sieve shakers;
– Lot 5: ICP-OES system; ion selective electrode; sand bath; chemical hood; microwave digestion system; microwave pressure heating system; NIRS system, special cabinet for acids and bases etc.;
– Lot 6: Crystallizer; desiccator; hot plate; laboratory grinders; a set of laboratory sieves; OOSTENBRINCK equipment etc.;
– Lot 7: Divider for samples; electrophoresis source; fume cupboard (chemical); vertical electrophoresis; orbital shaker; rotary evaporator etc.;
– Lot 8: Laboratory incubators; balances; distiller; chemical hood; furnace; freezers; binocular microscope; Control thermometers etc.;
– Lot 9: Membrane filtering installation with accessories; somatic cell count measuring equipment; microwave digestion system and accessories; psychometric hygrometer; thermometers and PH meters.
- Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and it is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Consolidated Agricultural Projects’ Management Unit, Mr. Veaceslav Shokin, Senior Procurement Officer (vshokin@capmu.md or cbordeianu@capmu.md) and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 09:00AM to 17:00PM at the address given below.
- Bidders may register for the bidding by written application at the e-mail address indicated below. Registration and, as the case may be, download of the bidding documents, require a nonrefundable instant charge of 200 MDL or 12 USD. Prior registration is required for submitting clarification questions on the bidding documents and receiving automatic notice of answers and of addenda to the bidding documents. The downloadable version of the bidding documents, and any addenda to it, will be the binding one. As an alternative, a hard copy set of the bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of MDL400 or 24USD. The method of payment will be wire transfer to the below account number. The document will be sent by courier mail.

- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before June 04, 2019, 11:00 AM local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on June 04, 2019, 11:00 AM.
- All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of:
